About this course

The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) is a nationally recognised qualification. It is ideal for people who need to be an emergency first aider in their workplace.

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make sure their employees get immediate attention if they are injured or become ill at work. This includes:

  • carrying out a risk assessment
  • having enough first aiders
  • providing appropriate first aid training

Having the correct first aid at work is not just a legal requirement, it is incredibly important for the safety of all staff.

As a regulated qualification, employers can book this course for their employees knowing they have met their legal duties to provide quality first aid training.

On successful completion of this qualification, you will have the skills needed to give safe and effective first aid in an emergency.

The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a nationally recognised qualification for those with a specific responsibility to provide first aid at work or in community and voluntary activities.
